Saturday April 25th Hardcourt Polo Tourny

12 teams played double elimination polo. We had two teams.

The amazing team of MiniMike(Michael Boyd), Piranha#1(Jacob Boyd) and Piranha#2(AJ Maldonado) took home 3rd place. An unbelievable victory.

More on this story later. I wanted to get some pics up.

Wednesday April 15 2009 Night Moves

Eight players showed up and 3 games played. What can I say. Evenly matched again. Jim was on his game tonight, scored a few. We missed MiniMike and Troy (not really). Like we were in slow motion.

Monday Night Hard court Polo is alive and well. Lots of folks show up for this event every Monday evening around 8/9pm and lasts till 11pm or so. I played with Mailman Jay last week and it is weird, but fun. A constant smile on your face. Jay and Mike played this week, getting ready for the tournament this Sat.

A well lighted court in a neighborhood park. Great exposure.

Wednesday, April 8th Our 70th Game on the Blog

Time Flies. More games to be played. More fun. And more amazing bicycle action.

I am writing this on Easter Sunday. A time to reflect and measure our existence. I am hoping that everyone is well and has a HAPPY EASTER !!

Game number 70....What a night. Mailman Jay's team ruled. The combo of Jay, MiniMike and Tracy's defence is very hard to beat. 3 games played and I was the only one to fall. A blocked shot at the goal and sacrifice the 58 year old body at the same time. Damn it.

Thanks guys for coming. Bike polo on the grass rocks. You Hardcourt polo players are always welcome. Marco, Dave, Chris, bring it !

Wednesday April Fool's 2009 4 Sweet Games

Sorry I havn't been doing my job lately, keeping up with weekly games. I have no excuse. Some do read it weekly, so I apologise for that. We have played every Wed. though, and have had some really great games. MiniMike is riding his bike from 59th Ave and Camelback to the polo park ( apr. 10 mi ) Some of us wish he would stay home. Crazy, crazy scoring at will. His moves at the goal line and mid field speed leaves you scratching your head. What the ?

This Wednesday was no different. Six people showed up and 4 games played. Troy and Mailman Jay dominated the field. The long bomb, high flyin picks and frequent passing kept MiniMike at bay. Hell, Troy and Jay even made me look good once.

Only a couple more weeks and "Lefty" Ken will be here to play.
