A Challenge Has Been Made in April

The Monday night polo gang is having a mini tournament April 25th. On hard court, 3 person teams. 31st. street and Virginia, Perry Park.
We will have at least 2 teams there.

Got a spankin tonight. Never ever put Troy and Mailman Jay on the same team. It was a lesson in humility. With their dribbling skills, speed, accuracy and ability to be be everywhere, it was not pretty for us.

3 on 4...and we had the 4. Second game, Mailman Jay suggested we divide teams differently. (It was that obvious) But we puffed up and said no, revenge will be sweet. Yea right. School was in session. We even named a shot in their honor. The "Mailman". A high lifted ball, center goal, untouchable.

Tracy was our star. She comes alive with the pressure. I had my famous lifted shot blocked at least three times by Jay, once using his head. Crazy !

With all that said, we had a great time, and had brews at the 'Ol Armadillo Grill after. Where are ya "Scorch" when we need ya?

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009 Polo and Man Pain

Damn it that hurts. MiniMike was being pursued by Mt and Troy at mach one, and someone got tripped up and MiniMike went down on the top tube, floppin around like a fish outta water. Damn that top tube. Ooooooh.Ooooh. We all felt it. Piranha #2 (his little brother) said with an evil little smile "hurts don't it?" MiniMike rested for less than 5 minutes, and right back on the bike.

Piranha#1(Jacob) also crashed and had the 'ol wind knocked out of him. Early lessons for a 10 year old. Rested for 5 minutes and right back on the bike.

We had a great evening of hard bike polo. 5 on 4...good teams, 3 good games.

Wednesday, Feb. 25th. 2009 " TEN "

It's always a sweet deal when so many show up. Playing at night can be tricky, but we seem to have a twisted sense of each other, and avoid T-Bones or otherwise serious crashes. The Piranha boys were at their best. #2 dribbled and scored a few times. Maybe next time Troy...Sometimes ya got it , and sometimes ya don't. Gooood Gamin'
